Kamala Hargrove

Kamala Hargrove is a native of the Bronx, NY, with a B.A. in Mathematics and Theater & Dance from Trinity College. She professionally trained at the Ailey School and Dance Theater of Harlem in Ballet, Horton, Graham, West African, Jazz, and Hip Hop. She is also proficient in South African Zulu and Gumboot dance, Afrobeat, and Dancehall styles. Since graduating, Kamala has appeared in various music videos, showcases, and live performances.
Currently Kamala is a full time Performing Artist with one of the top 10 African American dance companies in the United States: Step Afrika! She has toured and performed in over 40 states, 6 countries, and also at The White House. Her goals include continuing to tour and perform, choreographing for major artists, and owning a Production Studio.
